Works for a cellulosic ethanol factory
Out client had perfected an innovative process to transform residue and waste into second generation ethanol by means of a gasification process. The first industrial installation is a pilot plant located in Westbury, in the Estrie, where Systemex Automation was granted a complete engineering mandate targeting process automation. We performed detailed engineering for the instrumentation, electrical and automation for the process based on the client's preliminary P&ID.
The process control system chosen was a Siemens PCS7 with Profibus and conventional instrumentation with intelligent CCMs.
Following Systemex Automation's drafting of the calls for tender document for the electrical installation, the client awarded the contract to Dawcoelectric and its subsidiary DL Instrumentation, who performed all of the electrical installation under our supervision.
From detailed engineering to start up, Systemex Automation worked together with the client to transform a laboratory concept into a functional process and industrial installation with great potential in the context of green energy production.
