Systemex Automation, a world of integration

Design of an aluminum components handling system

In the context of the acquisition of a new saw, our client wanted to automate the cutting of different components which form aluminum railings. Systemex Automation therefore designed a component handling system by substantially modifying the new saw so that the cuts could be made without the operator having to hold the parts. An intelligent control system now receives information from the ERP software, controls the saw's cutting angle and advances the parts without human intervention.

The ergonomic design, which is totally integrated into the production line, has allowed increased production and has reduced the efforts and handling required by the operator.

Another related project was awarded to Systemex Automation to design a device for this client that would allow semi-automatic insertion of the hand rail and the screw cover strips without the operator having to hammer the parts into place. This equipment allowed production to be increased and eliminated quality problems.
