In order to make the use of its two autoclaves easier, a manufacturer of industrial hoses awarded a mandate to Systemex Automation to convert the existing conventional controls and to add additional functionality. Working in conjunction with an instrumentation supplier, the autoclaves were equipped with additional thermocouples and the steam supply system was modified in order to better control its flow.

The timelines given for the project were very short and the implementation had to be performed during the end of year holidays. This project was performed on an accelerated schedule which allowed the manufacturer to restart production at the beginning of the year as planned.
